Philadelphia Textile Artist and Fashion Designer, Janell Wysock is offering a new interactive six-week course entitled Traveling Tapestries. This course will teach weaving through a historical lens and offer creative innovative ways to work in unexpected materials exploring sustainability.
Participants will gain a new appreciation for outdoor spaces and their importance to us as a community, think of materials in very different ways through upcycling and be part of a community and enjoy various surprises built in such as poetry, sound therapy and breathing techniques. Learn how to weave with us as we explore the history of woven tapestries through the ages, and where we can take it in our modern society today.
