This quilt top was assembled from retired samples local Philadelphia designers Galbraith and Paul. They specialize in hand block printing yardage that is only available to the trade through representing showrooms. Interior Designers visit the showrooms to gather the samples to communicate what they are considering for various interior applications. Eventually, these samples are sent back to the designer. At which point there are thousands of them without an immediate use. This is were we decided to create beautiful one of a kind quilt tops with this durable new and functional heavy-duty linen that would have been wasted material.
Each quilt is made with a cotton batting and linen back. Quilt tops are designed and pieced in house and then finished locally on the long arm machine that quilts the top center and back together. We then cut off the excess from that process, attach the binding and hand sew it to finish. These are such a joyful labor of love. Custom pillows can be custom ordered provided we have samples to match it.
